Alex Busking

A friend of mine, Alex, busking outside the cafe I spend most of my time at. A quiet guy, but an absolute genius on the violin. Then again, he's been playing for 17 years, so it's to be expected.

This shot came from the first roll of film I took after I got my camera (Canon EOS 3000N 35mm SLR), and it's easily my favourite from the roll. Minor Photoshop work has been done, about 20 minutes with the clone stamp tool to clean up dust from the negative and major scratches on the scanner, and a small curves adjustment to highten the contrast a little. The original scan was reduced to 30% for submission also.
